Parker Fly PPG Paint Codes

I'm new here (Greetings!); just bringing my sugar to barter with you for salt (knowledge is everything; connections get you there).

This is a PPG-Paints internal system screenshot that shows some of the most common Parker Guitars paint codes. I confirmed with a PPG representative that they still have these colors available, although they have moved them to their Deltron 2000 DBC basecoat brand (rather than "Fleet"). Notice that there are some iconic colors that are missing, like the Galaxy Gray. Anyone knows how to find the original paints of those models that are not included on this PPG list? (Shazrock's Sharon may know the answer, but she's busy enough to ignore this type of inquiry; trust me).
Coincidentally (and maybe unrelated), the House of Kolor (HOK) website does have a "Galaxy Gray," "Emerald Green," and "Majik Blue" which all seem identical to their respective Deluxe models. I know Parker was using PPG paints around the year 2000 and onward. But could it be that around 1993-95 Parker might have been using House of Kolor instead of PPG? What other thing could explain that a Fly Deluxe Majik Blue (magic is misspelled with a "K") from 1995 coincides with the House of Kolor paint by the same name (Majik Blue, code: S2-PBC37). Do we know if Parker ever used House of Kolor during the first few years?

I realize that this is an old poist. Sorry but I don't come here often.

Yes, I set up the paint systems for Parker. Initially I only used House of Kolor. Larry wanted badly to switch to PPG because he was afraid that HOK might not be able to keep up with demand. I resisted because I thought that HOK was superior to PG. The answer I got from above was "it's good enough". I left Parker in early '94 after we got into production. Parker swithed to PPG shortly thereafter. When I was there we only painted HOK white (initially) and then black so I can't speak to the question about other HOK colors

The PPG system was well-established by the time I got to Parker.
In order to assure that the colors would always be available, I set up Parker as a "fleet" like you would a trucking company (that's why all Coke delivery trucks are the same shade of red no matter what part of the country you're in). This also assured the continued existence of the color formulas in the PPG line.

I'm a new member and just bought a 1996 Fly Classic Mahogany Transparent Cherry with 2 small chips I'd like to repair. I need to find the paint and get advice on doing the repair. I saw the paint code Fleet# 52775 but can't find where to purchase it online. The 2 chips are located on the bottom rim and tip of the headstock and are about half the size of a pencil eraser. Thanks and enjoying the forum. I may have more questions when it arrives 2 days!

This is probably your easiest cheapest and best looking option for semi trans: https://gluboost.com/ Look up chip repair using super glue and with a little patience you should be in good shape

Has anyone figured out what paints whether it be PPG or House of Kolor would work for a 1995 Parker Fly Deluxe in Majik Blue? I was thinking of getting a chip fixed on mine but needed to match the color perfectly. Thanks in advance for the help!

I had to jump through some hoops not just to get these codes, but to get the modern equivalents. Some of the "ingredients" are not made anymore and they have to find a modern equivalent. I was able to get the metallic black for the back of a mojo flame and heather gray - both at a local auto shop.

Repainting from scratch seems excessive (in my case).

:?: Has anyone had convincing results in repairing paint chips on a Fly?

N.b. We’re talking about chips on the front of the body (thus not due to de-laminating).

You can try this place for touch ups, they should be able to match it in available bases with modern color matching systems.

You’ll want to use a clear touch up of some kind on top.

Anyone know the PPG or House of Kolor equivalent paint for a 1999 Parker Fly Deluxe Italian Plum (Purple)??

Thanks
