Iirc they started doing pdf in Indonesia but also did some in China.
The counterfeit ones are pretty easy to spot- not much in the way of elegant curves and surfaces and using hardware that is not Parkers.
Selling a few flys
Re: Selling a few flys
If my wife wouldn’t absolutely lose it on me, I’d be all over that first guitar! I think I’ve cornered myself in at this point. At least for a while..unless a nylon fly comes around when money is right. She would probably love to get my to shut up about one of those! Looks like you put some quality work into those guitars! I’m not sure how much eBay or reverb takes from the selling price to say if it’s worth it to sell on there or not. I’ve only sold a few parts on there so I’m unaware of the percentages on a big sale like that.
2x p30, 2x p32, 3x p36, 3x p38, 7x p40, 2x p42, 6x p44, 2x nitefly, fly mojo, 2xfly bronze, 3x hornet bass, fly classic, fly deluxe, nitefly midi
Re: Selling a few flys
They take a chunk, for sure, but when you want something to move they are the way to go.
I keep them listed here because it keeps them within the knowledge base of users.
There are five or so members here that perform an invaluable service when questions come up!
I should probably list them in a Christmas move but I've just been stupid buys all year so I may not get to it.
I would let the white chinese PDF60 (serial# P2010052343) go for $500 plus shipping to anyone here that wants to check it out. Its a great guitar and boxed up and read to go. How's that for not bothering to list it on eBay.
I got out the 1996 Black Deluxe (serial# 208066BP USA) to do some Christmas stuff the other day and marveled at what a ridiculous thing Dayn & I actually created.
I wasn't using it for the GK3, just plugging the 1/4" cable straight into a Roland Jazz Chorus and laying down some lines and structural chords to record over later as beginning layers of some Carols that I'll add synth parts to later. (whew!)
What its set up for is to get every possible combination of tones that can be eeked out of a fly.
There is always a switch that you can change or a pot that can be pulled that changes things.
It can be overwhelming at first, but you get used to it pretty fast.
I also realize the 3k shipped is steep and that it isn't a mint brand new off the factory floor item, but the neck is clean and it really is the best-playing fly I own.

Re: Selling a few flys
I did inventory today and...
A P P A R E N T L Y...
I have 27 guitars in my house.
(DO NOT tell my wife.)
I honestly don't know how that happened. I guess guitars used to be cheap.
And I have a house, so...
But anyway that's ridiculous.
I wonder how many are parkers? Its gotta be 10 or so, but now I'm scared to count.
If I end up moving this year, I definitely cannot take these with me.
Every Parker i own is modded to be different than the others but the modded ones are like swiss army knives and be used with modeling to sound like any guitar, but somehow i managed to find and excuse to do another full mod again and again. Crazy.
27. I probably don't have 27 years left on the planet.
So let this be a warning/guarantee to those with GAS:
Play more gigs. Do more rehearsals. Get more mileage out of what you have in your case.
Happy 2025 Parker Players!
