Thanks for the find Patzag!

I always wanted to see more footage of Ken walking us through/working on the original Fly. That should be crunchy.

It would have to be Ken!
I think if he did it, I'd find a way to join in - somehow!

Good to see that Ken seems open to the idea of making the “real” Flys he envisioned if he could get the funding.

I wonder if the Fishman Fluence technology could be used to make ultra thin pickups nowadays.

For what it's worth, MarconiLab has had a proprietary silicon pickup the thickness of a truss rod cover for a few years, now. Though I've yet to put one through its paces, I don't expect it to sound anywhere near as "conventional" as the wafer PCB layers of the Fluence can get.

Edit: I referred to my old emails with Guido at MarconiLab: The pickup at the time was designated SoundStream II (stylized SiiS). They've since come out with another design apparently designated "GMR" and mounted in the end of the neck itself.

Of course, we're hearing a very processed sound in this demo - But I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to these sounds coming out of a Fly or similar guitar.
