P36 piezo noises ,,, grrrrt ch ch chrrrrrk ,,

hi folks ,
here's some peculiar noises coming from the piezo PU..
battery is new ,,, looked inside for wiring ,, all good ,,
starts off gritty , & soon gets really dirty ,,, then quits after a couple minutes ,,

anyone seen this before

Sounds very much like oxidation problems in the pots to moi.
Have you tried an electronic spray cleaner?

I agree with Barry.
Clean everything. It especially the pot.

Oxidation on pot wipers, input jacks, and switch contacts is a very common occurrence, especially in a high humidity environment.

Next to poor string action setup, "crackling and popping" was perhaps the biggest complaint I heard from customers in my tenure as a guitar tech.

Always try the simplest remedy first. Happy to hear that worked Jules! :mrgreen:
