Looking for Parker Hornet

Post by ilanberman »

Hey, friends. New to the site (referred by a friend), and thought this would be the proper place to ask if anyone here has a "Hornet" (PM10, PM20 or PM20PRO) they might be willing to part with. I'm trying to round out my collection. Let me know what you've got!

Hi @ilanberman,

Ahhh—I’m late to the game with this post; I see you’ve already made contact with Notes here. Good luck!

Thanks. Yes, I've messaged him... although I haven't heard back. So, if you know of any others floating out there, please let me know.

Did you see this listing?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Parker-Hornet- ... 890.l49286

I’d imagine the seller would entertain an offer lower than the listed price.

Here it is. It's not a closet queen, it's a gigging guitar and is in very good shape for one this old (I think she bought it in 2004).

It has some dings and fret wear, zero belt rash, and from a foot or two away you can't see the dings. I photographed as many as would show up. There are a few smaller ones but they wouldn't show up.

You can see in the picture one of the tuners is loose. I didn't notice it until the strings were back on. I suspect tightening the nut would fix that.

She wants $400 plus shipping for the guitar, flight case, original gig bag, and locking straps.

I can take Master Card or Visa since I have a business selling software. If you want to take this off the forum, I have an e-mail link at http://www.nortonmusic.com

That's it. Warts and all.

Thanks. If ilanberman doesn't want it, I'll move it to the classified section. If that doesn't do it I'll try Reverb.

There is no sense keeping it when she likes the DF much better.

Like me she plays more than one instrument (she plays guitar and synth) so a lighter guitar is a blessing. After 3 or 4 hours of switching instruments, one pound less can make a big difference.

Above and beyond with the level of detail, Notes - It’s like a coroner’s report.

Thanks.

I'm just following the "do unto others" suggestion.

ADDITION TO CONDITION DESCRIPTION...

The gig bag has never been used, but we noticed a defect in one of the handles. Sorry, we didn't notice it before taking the picture. :(

Mrs.Notes will repair that, so it doesn't break, but it won't be in factory pristine condition, even though it's never been used.

The PM10 has been sold.

Mrs.Notes is happy that it will be played again.
