Interesting question:

What do you like more about the Graphtech tuners? I've never seen them.

There were some about that time that were made with a passive piezo, does yours have a battery?

Re: WTB: pre-refined ribbon cable & output jack, or beater Fly

Fret buzz is usually just the truss rod and the bridge need adjusting. Could be the nut too. If the board and the cable and the jack are good it’s worth 1000. But there is that missing chunk of wood...

How did the P90s sound? That's a pretty interesting approach.

Re: MIDI Fly Mods

Essentially, just added S1 & S2 and a volume knob for Synth, as well as the Synth / Mags / Both switch. 1997 Pearl Deluxe Controls 2.jpg I found some Fly examples on the internets: Layout labeled.jpg and this one was the basic go-to. What I WASN'T able to do was get a same-sized switch for the S...

Re: MIDI Fly Mods

Here is 4th Fly I had modified, all really unnecessary, but trying to find a more elegant way than the GK3 mounted near the adjustment wheel that I had used for years. This had seen a lot of wear & tear and a pal of Dayn’s was willing to unload it cheap enough that I could get the parts and do j...

MIDI Fly Mods

So let's see if the text file I used lets me paste this in from the old forum...

...no, it did not.

http://tinypic.com

is out of business.

I'll have to do a bit more work. I think I can upload directly here, though.

I'm preparing to modify 3 different guitars, so watch this space!

Big swiftly has made it abundantly clear that all you need is one (and a really strong case).

But I sure wish they were all played more often.

Re: For sale: 1997 Fly Concert (eBay)

I think one of us would have jumped on a BIN if it had been "in range". Need to add one of these to the flock. https://www.google.com/search?q=What+is+a+group+of+flies+called%3F&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari Instead of a flock or a herd we should just start refe...

Also, I think the connector used is the same one RMC uses to connect to the preamp box that I use with that stealth. check it out. I think its the same, and man, I would love that in a 90° angle!

I may be a little late, but I use gumbo's custom Synth•Linx 13-pin Jack Kits:

Re: parker trussrod fix?

Exactly! If its the right color, and not too beat up, you can try to have the piano wire solution or something done to it, if you think you'd be happier with a different color, throw it back into the pool before it destroys you!
