Re: My Fly Classic needs repairs, and I need help
Thanks for these, Sholoosah . I have no personal experience with the tech work at Rudy's, but they seem to pretty highly regarded—depending on who the technician is, they may know Ken Parker . That being said, Ken has described the process here , so you can print that and give it to the tech when yo...

To clarify, you’re looking for a Fishman Powerchip, correct?
I may have an extra.

Hi @Sholoosah—are you in the NYC area? Also, do you still have the fret that fell off?

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
Hi Goldtop 57 and welcome! You’re right that the asking price for Fly Supremes seem to start above $4,000 these days, but the amount they sell for above that number varies. It’s not easy to obtain accurate data, unfortunately. Our general recommendation here at FlyClone is to consider a price you’d ...

Re: Thoughts on the Southern NiteFly
I'm not totally sure I understand what everything does! Maybe this is the place for a newbie to ask a pro for a simple breakdown? I think the controls are similar to other NiteFlys in that the knobs are mag volume, tone, and piezo volume, and the toggle is mags only, mags + piezo, piezo only. I don...

Re: 3d models or blueprints of parker
Hi both— this is what we have so far. The Fly body geometry on that model is not verified as accurate and, in fact, I'm sure that it's not accurate. I'm not comfortable putting it out for download as-is, so I hope the Fusion 360 reference is sufficient for now. We hope to revisit this aspect of Fly ...

Re: Questionable spring with rust
Hi Rmer —I would not be shy about getting that Fly; rust can occur on those springs even if they’re sitting out in a humidity-controlled environment, so, in my research into Fly springs, rust on a spring has more to do with the treatment of the spring steel than it has to do with an indicator that t...

Re: GK-3 install/tape residue
Hi Lori and welcome! Congrats on the new Fly!
Others here—for sure—have more experience with installing/removing the GK series transducers, but I can say that naphtha and a little patience is usually all it takes to remove tape residue from those sorts of devices on a Fly.

Re: Stuff I found on Craigslist
I’m hoping it wasn’t more severe than recognizing a guitar you own. 😂 Short story: I bought it through PayPal, and when the seller stopped responding to my emails, I filed a report with PayPal, heard back from the seller who asked me to close the case with PayPal in order to proceed with issuing a ...
