Re: Yet another recently addicted to Parker guitars...
In fact, so far, the ONLY thing I don't like it's the fact that in the middle position I can't use both humbuckers in full humbucker mode (one of the reasons I would love to get another real Parker but a refined this time). I just don't like anything single-coily, especially the 2 and 4 positions t...

Re: Yet another recently addicted to Parker guitars...
Hey Jupiter ! I definitely preferred jumbo frets for the same reason you mentioned, but the Parker frets cured me of that. 1. Because the frets are so hard, the bends are silky smooth. 2. Because the fingerboard is not coated with sticky finish, fingers don't grab to it. My Flys are, respectively, 2...

Re: Fly partially detached fret(s) issue
thank you all for your help and insights: this is really a great community! :) I'm really torn here, between @vjmanzo stating that "it didn't work at all" for him and @Patzag who's happy with the results. to try myself I would: 1) buy this glue suggested by VJ in the main fret thread: Pac...

Re: Truss Rod Repair Question
Sorry, I was not clear about this. The luthier in question was on YouTube. I sent my "non working" neck to someone else for their own repair and use.

Re: Fly partially detached fret(s) issue
Ciao Andrea, To be totally honest I had a similar situation on one of my guitars and I re-glued the offending fret, without removing it entirely. It has not given me a problem since. If pressing on the fret resolves the problem, then adding a little bit of glue and pressing down with a clamp should ...

Re: Truss Rod Repair Question
I had the same issue.
Some luthier use a hot press to backbow the neck and then tighten the truss rod. I was not competent enough to do it myself, unfortunately. Maybe some others can chime in.

For the record - one month in with my first set of Stringjoy!
About the change them now. They lasted a very long time while retaining their essential tone. Very impressed.

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
I'm not American, so not a Tax expert, but as far as I know, Reverb does not Tax you. They just require the filling of an IRS form (1099?? or some such number). Then it's up to you to prove to the IRS that this sale is not all "profit". Ie: You bought the guitar for $1000.00, resell it for...

Re: STILL THE ONE!
Ok @vjmanzo, you busted me for reference to Still The One song by Orleans, (circa 1975). Had no idea, (or had forgotten) it was used in a hamburger commercial! Would a highly moral songwriter allow this to happen to his song? (Just kidding) You're apparently way younger than I if '96 was your child...

That indicates that it was produced in 2000 as far as I understand. But NFV1 was not produced in 2000. Anyone who can shed a light on that?

Re: STILL THE ONE!
Yes thanks for the info. I found a Pre-refined wiring layout drawing, that looks hand drawn, showing the output jack Tip-Mag Ring-Piezo Sleeve-Ground, for Stereo operation I assume. I also assume the Mono/Stereo red button placed in the Mono position sets the output configuration to be a blend of M...

Re: STILL THE ONE!
A schematic of the pre-amp system would be helpful. Is there one available? I don’t believe one exists as this was a proprietary device by Fishman, but both the original pre-amp and the Powerchip served two main functions: 1) a preamp for the piezo signal and 2) a mixer for the magnetic pickups and...

Re: Anyone selling a Nitefly neck?
Depending on your price, I may be interested. What’s the issue with the truss rod? Is it the nut itself or the thread that the nut attaches to? Hi. I'm not selling it - I can just send it to you if you want it. What is wrong is that at maximum tension, there's still relief. Maybe a pro luthier can ...

Re: Anyone selling a Nitefly neck?
I have a neck which has a somewhat ineffectual truss rod. So it would also need repair. But the frets are sound and the back is in good shape. If that's helpful I can send it to you.
