I have only been around a handful of Parker’s and I always thought silk screening differences were more likely due to the person labeling that day than a planned pattern or style.
I kinda regret not buying the original fly silk screens when they were for sale a couple years ago.

Re: Pre refined classic in Ireland
I’m partial to solar flare, electric blue, root beer and tangerine. I have a PDF75 in tangerine and the ‘97 deluxe in gold.
But as I’ve stated before any finish on a Parker is nice.

Re: Model name stamped on headstock
My ‘97 deluxe has the same logo placement with the main Parker logo on the front of the headstock and “Fly” logo on the back of the headstock just beneath the low e string. Nothing is stamped into the wood, the logos were silk screened as was the serial number

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
Ha! jb63 beat me to it....Interesting to read how things morph music-wise over the years. Playing old rock is fun but for live music I prefer live jazz over the nostalgia rock scene. That being said I saw the band Head East about ten years after their big hits had petered out and they were playing t...

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
I’d suggest trying to selll that PM10 on reverb and you’ll likely get more traffic and a better price. Sell as is but with free shipping and it might go fairly easy. GC prices are lower than any place else but Reverb gets better more knowledgable buyers I think. I watch the site for fly prices and p...

Re: NiteFly NiteMix External Fishman Piezo Preamp
For those who may not have seen one of these in the wild, this is the external piezo pre-amp that shipped with the original NiteFly models that had a passive Fishman powerchip: Parker_Nitemix.jpg As per the NiteFly History document Parker Guitars released, the NiteFly 1 and NiteFly 2 models utilize...

Re: Parker Guitars Luggage Tag
I have luggage tag envy.... It’s such a small and random part of Parker Guitars history, and it has absolutely no impact on my playing...so, why, even if someone offered to buy my luggage tags, would I hard-pass on selling them?! :P I can see the Reverb listing now: “Limited Edition Parker Gu...

Nice! The natural finish works well with the now classic Parker lines, and you’re right most people will never know the difference.
Sometimes you get really good deals out of Guitar Center too.

Re: Purchasing a cheap Parker?
Use the force Luke....Buy the PDF....the PDF....
Mainly because Nitefly’ s weigh more and if you can’t get a Parker Fly a PDF 105 fills in very well.
Before my current deluxe I had a 105 and it was very good at doing Parker like things both physically and audibly.
Buy once cry once too...

Re: Fly piezo just stopped :-(
Here in coastal Florida, with any guitar I'd suspect the switch first. If you can see contact in the switch try Caig DeOxit Red to clean corrosion off the contacts, and if that restores it, put some Caig DeOxit Gold to slow down future corrosion. These two products are a lifesaver for me here in sa...

Let me know how the res-o-glass works out and how much it weighs. Post pictures too. I might have res-o-GAS when I see them. Notes Hey now N-N no peer pressure. Re: Another Majik Blue Parker
Very Nice guitar. I’m rather fond of the blue, as well as tangerine and solar flair. Right after I got my gold deluxe I saw a solar flair for sale but funding didn’t allow purchase. I have yet to see a finish that I couldn’t live with on a Parker, they really are undervalued gems in the guitar world...

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
Look for a PDF 105 since they are the lightest in the series and have the higher grade hardware. I believe they average 5-7lbs, but don’t quote me on that. I had a 105 that weighed in at 6.5lbs. A side note when I talked with a friend I hadn’t seen in years last summer he said his vintage Les Paul w...
