Re: Fly Fret Repair Procedures (Parker Guitars video and document)
For frets that have the ends lifting, but are not fully off, is it best to wick glue into them or to remove the frets and re-set them?

Re: Parker Fly Deluxe vs Mojo
The Mojo I am expecting has 2 lifting frets. The fretboard appears to be fine, with no lifting or chipping anywhere. The frets are not fully off, just lifting on the bass side. The seller stated that the guitar has been unplayed and in its case for 5 years. Are fixing lifted frets as easy as wicking...

Thanks.
It sounds like the NiteFly SA is more Super Strat and the DF824 is more of an evolution of the Fly

DragonFly/MaxxFly vs NiteFly SA for SuperStrat?
I'm not familiar with the DragonFly/MaxxFly. Which version has the carbon fibre neck/fretboard? Also, compared to the NiteFly SA, are the DragonFly/MaxxFly more or less SuperStrat?

Re: Parker Fly Deluxe vs Mojo
Why don’t you bring a fret rocker while you’re at it? I think the only reasonable path forward is for all of us to show up as a unified entourage standing behind @reverend-kansas. 💪😎 I can't buy you all plane tickets, but I will go to Tim Horton's and buy some Timbits and coffee for every...

Re: Parker Fly Deluxe vs Mojo
The fingerboard lifts up slightly. This results in "high frets" which are not really high. The whole fretboard is high. Look at the seam between the neck and the fretboard. It should be very clean with no sign of separation between the board and the neck. OK, so it will be visible along t...

The price is what has me wanting to try it out. It is a 90 minute drive to the guy's house, so I'm thinking hard before I go.

Parker Fly Deluxe vs Mojo
I've got a Fly Deluxe that I love, someone locally is selling a Fly Mojo, and for once, my guitar fund has some cash in it! I'm wondering, how different are the deluxe and the mojo? I'm aware of the Basswood/Poplar vs Mahogany/Mahogany differences and the Seymour Duncan vs. DiMarzio pickups being di...

Re: Fly Pickups (Gen 1, Gen 2, and Other)
Will do—I have this info in a spreadsheet for each of my Flys, so I’ll get back to you soon. Did you ever post your preferred height? I've got a Deluxe with Gen 2 Dimarzio and I'm trying to balance the bassy-ness of the neck pickup with the thinnesss of the bridge pickup. There is such a large tona...

Re: Step Stop Issue
I took the strings off, removed the spring, and removed the step-stop. It is installed in the original factory location. I adjusted the bridge height to the lowest it can be without buzzing, and the stop works, but when I adjust it to the height that I prefer, it doesn't.

Re: Step Stop Issue
Thanks for all the responses. The guitar came with a small collection of parts in the case, including the original bridge. It had been changed as the previous owner did not like the amount of wear that it had sustained over the years. Also included were 3 of the grooved spring retainers, the other e...

I shot a video to show the issue. I looked at the manual and set the bridge height exactly as the manual states, 0.7" on the bass and 0.5" on the treble, measured at the 12th fret with the 1st fret capo'ed.

Re: Step Stop Issue
The bridge *appears* to be tilting forward from the string tension. Assuming the spring is working as it should, you can gradually tighten the spring tension and loosen the strings a bit at a time until the spring retainer post comes to rest against the step stop. When I’ve encountered this issue o...

Step Stop Issue
I got a lovely 2008 Fly Classic the other day. It is my first 'real' fly, it joins my NiteFly SA. When I have the bridge raised to my liking, the tab on the 3-groove spring plate it too high and does not make contact with the step-stop in Home position. I haven't pulled it apart yet to look, but my ...
