Re: Electronic issue

As I understand this, I will loosen the nut in the cavity, push the jack towards the cap, turn the cap clock-wise so as to thread the jack into the cap, then retighten the nut? Yes. But I find it easier to have the final tightening on the cap end. The nut is hard to reach to tighten. So all your st...

Parker had a tool devised for that purpose. I use a very fine jewelry screwdriver or needle nose pliers. I have used a paperclip for that purpose.

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread

Almost EUR 22k for the Parker Fly Custom "Thor" on Reverb. https://reverb.com/item/70596786-parker-thor-custom-shop-natural-mahogany What are those sellers doing? Deter lowball buyers and simply wait until someone offers enough? I really don't get it. Still nice to see one of the Northern...

Re: Electronic issue

The wireless system was the main culprit for the sound issue, however the output jack is definitely recessed too much. How does one adjust it? There is so little space and rotating the jack would rip the ribbon. It's a little bit delicate, but not too hard to do. There is a nut inside the cavity th...

Re: How many pre-refined Fly Supreme’s were made?

I’ve been looking for a Supreme for a while. Missed one on reverb for 1700 by a couple of hours last year! Stay alert! Yep, there was that Supreme and another one that looks to me like one of the limited run Butternut Fly’s that both sold for $1750 by the the same seller, as well as a white Deluxe....

Nice. Guitar with a light haze in the finish.

Interesting, that is a good prospect. I'll see if they ship!
Speak to Mark. He will ship as long as you buy with no returns. And insured at your cost.

Re: Squeaky Trem

Thanks Marc. I have a spare 10 spring so I’ll stick it in there and see if it handles. Might do the trick.
In 3 weeks when I’m back!

Re: Squeaky Trem

Yes, more of a creak. Sounds like an old door!
Allright, I'll do a deep dive when I'm back from a trip I'm taking. I'll be consulting with my local engineer on the lubricant. We have pretty much anything I'd want on hand. It's time I'm short of! I'll report back!

Thanks Marc!

Any lube points pointers?
Is it the bar bushing squeaking whenever the bar is rotated, or is the squeak occurring under different circumstances?
Bend up or down. Not rotation.

Re: "Bullwinkle" guitar hanger

The guitar stand I use - same as yours - came with a pair of spacers to make the neck opening smaller - as if to fit a banjo. It is small enough to hold my Fly in place without bullwinkle. The tuner rests on the grip and holds the guitar up. I'll put up a photo when I get a chance.

An Homage to Ken's Archtop work

I stumbled on this ...

I immediately thought "ripoff" but very soon realized this was a work of love, not thievery, and credit was given where it is due.

Beautiful instruments.
