Gotcha!
Okay—then let’s keep checking toggles, pots, Flex PCB, and the jack. But before we do that, what strings are you using (brand and gauge)? A very rare scenario, but some strings have ball ends that, when coupled with the bridge, interrupt the signal flow of the piezos.

Re: Please Help Me Diagnose My Fly Deluxe
Have you checked/adjusted the small trim pot on the Fishman preamp board? This should increase the level of the piezo output.

Re: Fly Classic main board repair/replacement
Hi yanstep99 —sorry to hear about this issue. We have a replacement Flex PCB at the moment, and Peaches (aka Ryan) is working on a replacement for the original Fishman board, but it will be a while, unfortunately. Apart from that, perhaps you can ask in the Classifieds section? Perhaps someone else ...

Re: Help Identifying this model
I noticed that you have this instrument listed for sale on eBay.
Perhaps you’d consider revising the listing title and description since it is, in fact, not a Fly?

Re: Please Help Me Diagnose My Fly Deluxe
Hi essgee —these sorts of issues are best approached by isolating the variables (of course), so let’s consider the following points—this is my assessment only: -the cable you’re using; is it a quality brand with a US-made jack at the end? -flex Flex PCB; if it’s torn anywhere then things will not wo...

Fly Nylon (aka Spanish Fly) History
Hi RIJO , I recommend reading this History article for some context about the second decade of Parker Guitars when they were operated under the umbrella of USM. The name of both the Fly Concert and Fly Nylon models changed during this second decade. According Ken Parker in this video, the original d...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
What would be an appropriately ridiculous price tag? Marc has summarized some high price tags that might be a good reference: This '99 Supreme with a hidden serial (nonetheless identifiable through its body's grain markings), in "mint except for a finish chip" condition, was asking $10,14...

Re: Spanish Fly History
Hi @RIJO, the Fly Nylon first appeared in the 2000 catalog though it was likely in production a few years before that—mine is from 1999.
The Spanish Fly is the USM-era version of the Fly Nylon. They are identical in build, and use the Fishman Powerchip preamp.

Does it exist? Supreme Standard (no piezo)
Hi DLQ —the Fly “Standard” only came in the Deluxe variant, unfortunately. That’s not to say that there aren’t custom shop orders or other one-offs out there, but—if they exist—they are more like from the USM-era than the first decade. This Mojo , for example, is from a family of custom shop orders ...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
Hi vaya —welcome! I was concerned that the listing you cited was fraudulent—the seller has no feedback and it looks like the listing you won is the same as this listing . If you read this thread (up a few posts) you’ll see that this sort of scam has been going around Reverb for some time—a Fly price...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
From what I understand, the scam involves only offering buyers a PayPal payment option, which is much harder for Reverb to refund.colliderman wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 9:57 am What's the scam here anyway? Wouldn't any purchase like this just get immediately refunded by Reverb?
