Re: For sale: 1997 Fly Concert (eBay)
I think one of us would have jumped on a BIN if it had been "in range". Need to add one of these to the flock.

Re: Pre Refined Parker Piezo Audible But Quiet
Hey. I just replied uninvited to your other thread. Are you handy with a soldering iron? If so, I would start by checking the summit plate on the piezo. Heat up the solder and reflow as needed to make sure you have good contact on the wire. Next, inspect your ribbon cable for a kink or tear. Next, y...

Re: Where to Route Pre Refined Classic for Leads from Ghost Saddles
Hi. Sorry to intrude, but you'll find that the pre-refined saddles are superior to the Ghost saddles. and that the fishman preamp is better sounding than the ghost preamp. Just sayin' Now I don't have any data as to why you're changing. Maybe your ribbon is shot or your saddles are dead. But if you'...

I called Fishman to try the custom approach. It was a no go. But then I don’t have a line to Larry!

Notes, Less savvy than me on wiring things would be hard to find,<...> That might be me :D We're out of gigs since St. Patrick's day and probably for at least a year due to COVID so this is the time to try something. Thanks again, Notes Lol! Here is the switch you need: https://www.sweetwater.com/s...

Re: Wiring mod on DF to bypass preamp in mag position?
Notes,
Less savvy than me on wiring things would be hard to find, and I did it without issues.
The colors were the same and this is for the ghost preamp. I don't have the guitar anymore.

Re: Wiring mod on DF to bypass preamp in mag position?
Hey Notes!
I was the nice guy! Lol!!!
Here is the diagram. This works VERY well. In fact, I liked the sound better without going through the preamp because the pre introduced a little bit of hiss which translated to a lot of noise with high gain amps.
So here is the diagram. Enjoy!

Re: Bad Neck
Thanks Guys.
I'll give it a shot.
I'll give it a shot.
Bad Neck
Hello Parker friends! So I inherited a nitefly. Problem is the neck is screwed up. Someone tightened the rod to the point that the neck is bent at the 6th or 7th fret and the guitar is more or less unusable. Any ideas on either repairing the neck or is there someone around here that has a spare neck...

Re: Time for a Parker!
You'll never get a strat sound out of a Deluxe, but a nice hardtail is the lightest you can get and with the pickups low, you get as chimey as a humbucker can go.
But beware. Once you play a Deluxe, you'll never want to play anything else, except maybe a Classic! (Or a supreme!)

Re: 2000 Pre-Refined Trem arm falls out
The screw is not intended to keep in the arm in place. It was never intended to do that. It is there to increase or decrease the tension on the bushing and allow it to rotate freely or not. The actual correct, if slightly difficult to master, technique to keep the arm in place is to bend the part th...

Re: Thoughts on the Southern NiteFly
I had a Southern for a while. Great guitar. Not my bag. I keep trying to find a single coil tone that I like to PLAY and fail. I LOVE to listen to it. I even love to listen to what I played, I just can't get used to the feel of Single Coils - whether in a strat or tele. So I sent it to a better home...

Hi Tom.
I have a good friend of mine selling a PDF 105 in near pristine shape.
It has a piezo so you can also do the acoustic thing.
If you are interested you can PM me here.

Re: Battery compartment "in body" cover
I've never had to replace a battery mid set. But it is a definite pain to get the battery changed unless you place a piece of tape on it that sticks out sufficiently to pull the battery out. That's been my modus operandi for years now. In fact, I've used the same piece of tape on dozens of batteries...

Re: Radio is coming through the PUs on my Deluxe at times
Before you throw everything away ... Grab a soldering iron and go over everything. Sounds like a ground issue. Moving the wires with your hands means nothing. If you have a cold solder joint, you'll run into issues. Resolder the piezo wires to the bridge plate. Check all the pots with a soldering ir...
