Re: Graphtech replacement saddles 2005 FLY
Haven’t noticed more or less sustain but maybe a little less trebly. I like the black on black too.

Re: Update- new plastic trem bar bushings
Olav- it’s been a minute. Thrilled with VJs comments, and got some from another person too. I’m traveling atm but can make what I have available next week and I think there’s material left for another batch. My cost is just under $20 ea and I’ll check postage asap. Figure roughly about $23 us and $2...

Re: Greetings from 1st Time Parker Owner
Congrats! Italian plum ftw! Fwiw you can fit sd pups (not high output) in your fly but it takes some careful doing and an extra threaded wood insert (which is not commercially available). I made some myself using 4-40 inserts, drilling and retapping to 5-40 dimensions. Thread pitch is the same, just...

Re: My 1996 Fly Classic just quit. Help!
Bummer. Hopefully you can document well enough to get a discount. All is not lost but it is a downer. Take the back cover off and look at the flat flex cables, especially the ones going to the jack or the knobs. If there are any tears or slits that’s likely the issue. Fortunately you can often run b...

Re: Update- new plastic trem bar bushings
For neither the first nor final time do I thank you and everyone who does this thankless R&D work to keep Flys flying. Glad it’s appreciated! I am happy to help if I can. FYI My guy had some issues getting black delrin. Also made a small mistake and remade them for me. I sent one out for feedba...

Re: Axe FX
I bought a non working axe II earlier this year and just got it working again a week or so ago. It’s amazing. You can spend hours and days just going through all the presets and not even tweaking knobs or IRs. Can’t wait to hear through a pa or record something with it. But there’s also something to...

Re: Parker Fly Paint and Paint Repair
I'm a new member and just bought a 1996 Fly Classic Mahogany Transparent Cherry with 2 small chips I'd like to repair. I need to find the paint and get advice on doing the repair. I saw the paint code Fleet# 52775 but can't find where to purchase it online. The 2 chips are located on the bottom rim...

10k dual pot? I know space is tight but it might be possible to shoehorn one of these in and wire to the flex. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Bourns/PDB182-GTRB1-104MN?qs=6oMev5NRZMHUmTL%2Fy42Xhw%3D%3D&mgh=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwspKUBhCvARIsAB2IYuuOQbfvEM8DwNXWAWBEa6I7lEJHgeIPzkZfzas9qh_3tzvH...

Re: Update- new plastic trem bar bushings
You bet, thanks VJ! Just fyi- the molded part has draft on the ID, so it gets a little smaller where the two core pins in the mold meet. This actually is pretty nice- it gives a good lead in for the bar and can deform slightly at the split line to fit the bar exactly without being too tight. Unfortu...

Re: My Coil Tap Mod for Three More Sounds
Good to see you again Paul, glad you’re still circuit bending. This is cool stuff, love the split humbucking set up. Not a fan of rotary switches on guitars personally- lots of torque that can mess up the wood and then they spin. I’d be inclined to cut a rectangular hole in the back plate and use a ...

Either black or clear should be fine. Nothing to lose! The eBay ones should definitely work if VJ says so. I don’t have much experience with the nitefly.

Update- new plastic trem bar bushings
Hey everyone-
Been meaning to post about this- I got my prototype bushings but they need a little tweaking. I expect some new parts in about two weeks.
Feeling really good about them so far- I think they will be much more reliable and functional than the stock molded parts.

Re: Nut replacement
Not sure about the nitefly but graphtech has more traditional shaped nuts that should work too. Probably the easiest thing is to fill the existing slot with some super glue and recut.

Re: Fly Body (original)
That’s cool- I have some surfaces started but have had lots of distractions. I do 3D surfacing professionally and it’s really not that bad aside from some tricky sections. The time consuming part is all the measurements and double checking. Your model looks pretty good so far. Let me know if you wan...

Re: Graphtech replacement saddles 2005 FLY
Congrats! Agree with VJ.
Fwiw The graphtech saddles are my favorite. I personally haven’t had issues using powerchip with them. Some do feel the ghost preamp is noisy though.
