Re: Parker Wood and Tone Comparison and Fly Model Comparison

Nice comparison thread, VJ! My '99 Ruby Red Deluxe weighs in at 5.6 lbs. (without battery). My '06 Italian Plum Mojo weighs in at 6.7 lbs (with battery). My '97 Artist weighs in at just about two potato chips (scary light!). Yes I agree, the Artist is alive with overtones taking you to dreamland wi...

Wow. That’s horrible.
I hope this was reported to the Police.
Best of luck in finding this and I’ll keep an eye out.

Re: Fly Pickups (Gen 1, Gen 2, and Other)

When I got my first Fly in 1994, I wanted the neck pickup to sound more PAF-like so I called Parker. Ken answered! He suggested I speak to Steve B at DiMarzip and gave me his number. I spoke to Steve and he was the kindest person. He listened attentively and then sent me a pickup which is still in t...

Re: Fly partially detached fret(s) issue

Well @nuovonormale , I have already notified my luthier that one of the (how many were they back then, 3? 4?) problematic frets got partially detached again, so he will glue it back...again... This one lasted 9 months, lol...the rest of seem OK...well. for now... That’s not normal. Must’ve been usi...

Re: Battery kill switch ideas

Personally I don’t mind unplugging, but if I had to install such a switch, I’d want to just replace one of the pots with one that also functions as a switch. Turn down the tone pot and get a satisfying click at the end of the rotation indicating the battery is now disconnected.

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread

I seem to see a renewed upswing in posted prices. Good specimens posted for 4-4.5K, beaters posted around 3-3.5. Not saying they are selling at these prices, but still - a definite rise.

Always do! :D . Hopefully whoever bought that one will play it and love it, and not just try to flip it for twice what they paid
Nah. Just like the guy who bought a Nylon from Sweetwater, fishing the very same day for selling price on FB. Too bad!

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread

Very bummed I missed this mint condition Supreme that just sold on Reverb for 4k. Ugh I've been waiting years to find a Supreme at a reasonable price  . Well, congrats to whoever snagged that. https://reverb.com/item/78816379-parker-fly-deluxe-fly-deluxe-1995-1999-flame-maple-i-think Keep the ...

Now there's a real miss! Anyone here catch this baby?
Regardless of the neck/fret issue, that would've been a good catch.

Re: Gus's Byzantine Fly Mod

Here's the aforementioned update: The guitar is done except for the new backplate, and testing/powering the sustainer. That part will come in time, once I get around to printing the new backplate. Here are the pictures: PXL_20240204_174255586 (Large).jpgPXL_20240204_174227689 (Large).jpg (just igno...

Re: The Eagle has landed!

Thanks mate. And thanks for the metric conversion. For me the Parker Fly is BY FAR the most ergonomic guitar I've ever played. This one sounds amazing. No it's not exactly like the Hard Tail or the Classic. Very resonant and a little more bass heavy than the Hard Tail. The Piezo sounds delicious. Th...

Re: PM20 Pro Parts

Hello, New to the forum. I recently just purchased a used PM20 and I was hoping to mod the hardware with black, PM20 Pro parts (black locking tuners, black bridge, etc.) Does anyone know of somewhere that I can obtain these parts? I did a quick search here on the forum, but I could not find anythin...
