Thanks, @Augustonian!Augustonian wrote: ↑Fri Aug 20, 2021 9:41 pm I may order one of the old stock ones and make a stencil. If I do, I'll be sure to leave it here for anyone who ends up in a similar spot.
Also, here's the WD stencil

Re: NiteFly Pickguard Replacement
Hi Augustonian,
I hadn’t heard the WD Pickguard doesn’t fit—I think I actually have one of these on my NiteFly.
Regardless, you might want to contact Mike Gallenberger at Gman.music on Reverb or wiguitar on eBay to see if the part you need is available in his stock.

Re: Parker Archtop in France?
For sure! I think if it's just to try one, it might be better to try to coordinate a trip to the States (if you ever come to the States) with something like the Woodstock Luthier Invitational or something like that. Ken does speak internationally, so it might be good to keep an eye on his website fr...

Re: Could Parker guitars return?
I agree with your assessment, Marc: ...trying to produce a Fly, even on a made-to-order basis, would cause Aristides to go out of business. FWIW--I do own a Switch Vibracell: switch_stealth_01.jpg It sounds good, has incredible sustain, and, overall, I think they did a great job making an instrument...

Re: Could Parker guitars return?
Good food for thought, ahmadimran ! Glad you posted this; many of us have kicked around this idea, but it’s always nice to discuss! I’ll share a few quick thoughts: in instrument-making, it turns out the notion of using a composite/different material around wood is hundreds of years old. Part of the...

Re: Fishman Fluence to pre-refined fly classic
I think @billy installed a set of Lace Alumitones in a Fly…tight squeeze for sure! IIR, he did make deeper routes for the “untrimmable tabs”.

Re: Fishman Fluence to pre-refined fly classic
Great followup, Marc! Thanks for the added clarity on this 👍🏻 Regarding “finding someone crazy enough to do it”, I’ll just mention that Patrick Cummings of Brian Moore guitars (http://iguitarworkshop.com) installed a Sustainiac driver in one of my Flys and he did a fantastic job (additional routing ...

Re: Besides Reverb, where can you buy a 7 string parker
Others may have more insight regarding this, but I think the best strategy to find one of these instruments is what you’re suggesting: set a “saved search” on Reverb and eBay and then subscribe to get updates on the Classifieds . I suspect that there were only a few dozen of these made, but I have n...

Re: WTB: Parker Maxxfly 7 string
Good luck, @WYLD STALLYNS! I’d imagine these are great instruments, but there are only a few in the world.
FWIW—there are no pre-refined seven-string Flys, so you’re looking for a late-era seven-string Fly Deluxe or MaxxFly. Again: these models are quite uncommon, sadly.
Good luck nonetheless!

Hi Chris, Welcome! Thanks for the kind words about our niche community. Flys are wonderful instruments and I think we’d all agree that Ken Parker really created something special! We’ll keep an eye out for a seven-strings; might not be a bad idea for you to watch the Classifieds section of the forum...
