Re: Wiring mod on DF to bypass preamp in mag position?
Hey Notes! I was the nice guy! Lol!!! Here is the diagram. This works VERY well. In fact, I liked the sound better without going through the preamp because the pre introduced a little bit of hiss which translated to a lot of noise with high gain amps. So here is the diagram. Enjoy! Patrick Are the ...

Wiring mod on DF to bypass preamp in mag position?
Long ago on the Parker forum some nice person posted instructions on how to rewire a DF so that it would bypass the Fishman preamp on the mag only position and utilize the preamp in the other two positions. It identified which wires to reposition by color. The problem is I have the later Ghost piezo...

Re: Time for a Parker!
A US DF (Dragonfly or Maxxfly) is light. Mine is 5lbs and I believe you can put your Fender pickups in. It's contoured and balanced like a strat, and you should feel at home with it pretty quickly. It's (obviously) the one on the left and can sound like a Fender(the one on the right is a custom mode...

Making music is supposed to be fun. That's why they call it "PLAYing" music.

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
Thanks Mr303 If she decides to sell, Reverb sounds like a good idea. I bought a nice, used Yamaha tenor sax there that was listed by a SamAsh store in Texas. I suspect she will decide to sell it, but right now it's the busy gigging season in Florida and we are working feverishly between gigs to fini...

Re: Parker Guitars Luggage Tag
I am jealous, all that came with my Parker was a key to lock it shut.
Now I've always wondered about that. If someone was to steal my Parker (God forbid) would a locked case stop them?

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
OK we gigged with it last night, went almost 4 hours without a break, and Leilani's shoulder isn't nearly as tired as it was with the PM10. Also for the kind of music we play, the DF has better tone. It's capable of being edgier and with more presence. The neck scale is a big longer than she is used...

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
HNGD to Leilani, it arrived late yesterday.
The guitar is spotless. It's like a brand new guitar. Zero wear, frets, fingerboard, or anywhere else.
Of course, pictures are coming.

Re: Fly piezo just stopped :-(
Here in coastal Florida, with any guitar I'd suspect the switch first. If you can see contact in the switch try Caig DeOxit Red to clean corrosion off the contacts, and if that restores it, put some Caig DeOxit Gold to slow down future corrosion. These two products are a lifesaver for me here in sal...

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
No pressure. Heal quickly and completely, that's all that is important. If and when it's done, pictures please. ;) Leilani's DF should arrive today. To the non-musician's eye it should like we have matching guitars. I guess that's good show-biz. She's thinking of eventually selling her PM10. If she ...

Let me know how the res-o-glass works out and how much it weighs. Post pictures too.
I might have res-o-GAS when I see them.

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
Thanks to a heads-up from jb63, my wife just pulled the plug on a used DF at Guitar Center. From the pictures it looks to be in excellent shape.
Thanks. My 110lb wife's shoulder should be much happier now.

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
I've got an LTD "Faux-Les-Paul" that weights over 8.5 pounds. It's the reason I bought my first Parker DF. I was playing an Epiphone Casino but we got a once a week gig on a quay over a salt water lagoon and I didn't want the salt air inside the hollow body guitar. So I got the LTD in a tr...

Re: Wanted light weight DF (not PDF)
She's a small gal, about 110lbs, so light weight is better. Her PM10 is not that heavy, but it's noticeably heavier than my DF. I don't need the Piezo as she just plays rhythm. When she wants to play lead lines she uses her synth. But we are both picking up and putting down the guitar all night, and...
