Yeah, it was awesome and I was one roof problem away from ordering a custom much like yours before the factory closed.
I got to try a spruce/spruce virtuoso and it was amazing.
Also saw two customs in process for Vernon Reid.
Very cool. Glad you’re still playing yours!

Re: Dreaded truss-rod issue post - is my fly fried?
Hey VJ No, I think the truss rod/wire can stay. But I’d remove the chunk of wood on the back of the neck to get access to the part where the anchor is bulging. I’d rebuild that area carefully making sure the anchor is back in position, then reattach the remaining part of the chunk. You’d see an outl...

Re: Bad piezo or short on B string
Piezos need pressure to work properly. Since your issue is intermittent, I would guess that it is either a problem with the wiring, a loose saddle element, or something underneath the saddle preventing consistent contact. I would try removing the saddle and cleaning both the saddle and the bridge's ...
Re: Dreaded truss-rod issue post - is my fly fried?
If you’re in a real bind, I have some ideas that I would be willing to try.
It would leave a scar but should be fully functional.

Great to see you here Nef, that toxic project was one the highlights of my visit to the factory.

Re: The Fly Leaning Bridge Posts Issue
Terry Atkins may not have been the original innovator and design genius that is Ken Parker, but that man had a level of passion and dedication to trying to make Parker guitars remain viable as a company and keep it alive. He worked tirelessly (and ridiculous hours) week after week, month after mont...

Re: The Fly Leaning Bridge Posts Issue
@billy- that PDF doc of the issue is fantastic. I was really hoping that someone had accurately captured this issue and the fix since my original thread on this problem on the old forum is long gone. Some may recall that I was the "patient 0" for this problem. I discovered the bridge post...

Re: The Fly Leaning Bridge Posts Issue
I want to clarify that the issue is that the od of the post and the id of the bushing has too much gap. This is likely due to tolerances applied for finishing. Fwiw Most factories today have little or no incoming inspection so it would not be sloppy workmanship- just an extremely easy thing to miss....

Re: Master Pot Volume
One more crazy idea is to get some tubing, thread to match the pot, thread the outside for a nut, and open up the hole slightly. I think you need a few mm more in length.

Re: Master Pot Volume
Not long enough, pretty sure anyway.
You could try to fit a larger body dual 10k(?) with the right threads and run 6 wires.
Fwiw The refined are 500k because they have a different pcb.

Wouldn’t worry about distortion, there’s a trim pot that someone probably messed with.

Re: bridge posts issue - need some advice
Awesome! I should log in here more often…. (Lots going on, some good, some not so good.) So glad the guide was helpful and you got your posts situated. Fwiw, a little bit of elmers inside the body’s bushing hole might not hurt if superglue is too permanent feeling. Let it cure up really well before ...

Re: Fishman Fluence to pre-refined fly classic
There is room for taller pups at the bridge but as mentioned you have to go deeper. I also put evos in my mojo TOM rebuild. The neck is very tricky, especially in the top corner of the bass side. I do not recommend it. The thicknesses vary from guitar to guitar based on how much sanding each needed ...

Re: Fly Deluxe Scratched
Silk screened logos were done at usm I believe. It’s a messier process in my opinion but can work well if you have the right inks and know what you’re doing. I have a silkscreen if anyone is interested. Dry transfers were used for serials throughout afik. I’ve used them in for logos in the past unde...

Re: Am I the only one?
Lol.. would love to do that but not many gigs around these days.
The DF is great but I favor my beat up artist most. This one is almost too nice.
And I bought the French korina df524 on reverb last week.
