Hi ETS —I know that our fellow member billy has done it, but it’s not easy and the potential for a catastrophe is great. If you asked Ken Parker he would say no. According to Ken, at Parker Guitars, if something went wrong with more than a few frets on an instrument, they would not try to remove the...

Thanks for sharing your experience. Given how many Flys and NiteFlys were produced from 1993 to 2015, It's inevitable that other owners will continue to find themselves having to brave this specific repair; and will find every firsthand detail helpful. Knock on wood, I still haven't had the opportun...

Hi Piplodocus —I had a similar issue with my 2007 Deluxe: I bought it used and it developed problems similar to yours over time. The remedy for me was to ask my technician to flex the neck backward as Ken Parker described here and then level the upper frets as you suggested. mmmguitar also has writt...

...when you’re discovering that different frets are slightly out-of-level, your Fly’s fretwork was never actually intended to be *perfect* when it left the factory… That’s a great point, Marc. Flys certainly come close (and that fret material is really strong!!), but you’re right that a little some...

The Problem: I've had a couple of frets fall off of a Fly. I reattached them using super glue, but they came loose again. Next I tried gorilla glue, and so far they are still intact. Is there a particular adhesive you would recommend if I have to do this again? I have always had success gluing lost...

Question: I was wondering if you could tell me what type of stainless steel was used on the Parker Fly guitars you built? Whenever one of the Fly guitars come in for a setup at my shop I am always amazed at how little wear there is on the frets. It seems to be a harder grade of stainless steel than...
