Re: Parker Fly Deluxe vs Mojo

I'm a bit late to the party, as you've already purchased. How are you getting on with your Mojo? I've had my 2008 model for a few years now with zero issues. Tonally, it has become my favourite Fly. More mid-range/less treble focussed. Smoother/'more rounded' etc. It is noticeably 'chunkier' feeling...

Re: Serial Number Info for Parker Fly, NiteFly, Fly Bass, and Other Parker Guitars

Hi VJ,
would the number work for all USA Produced Models (of all varieties) in a single month?

Re: Serial Number Info for Parker Fly, NiteFly, Fly Bass, and Other Parker Guitars

VJ,
the statement you quoted is not the same as I suggested.

Your statement suggests the format YYMMDDN, which includes DD = Day of the Month and N = Production Number for that Day.

If that were true my guitar would have been produced on the 45th of August... :D

Re: Serial Number Info for Parker Fly, NiteFly, Fly Bass, and Other Parker Guitars

I think the Serial Number format stated for post 2006 Fly models is incorrect. Based upon my own Fly Mojo, S/N: P0808452, I would submit that the number format is YYMMNNN where YY = Year, MM = Month and NNN = Production Number for that month

Re: Pre Refined Fly Whammy Bar

...is there a way to keep the bar higher in the bridge or is it designed to be fully inserted? I believe this is just a factor of how much and where you put the slight bend in the 'stem' of the Trem Arm. Having the bend nearer the end of the stem (rather than the 'elbow' of the arm) will result in ...

Re: Aluminum Bridge

Thanks @Patzag. Yes, standard aerosol can used. Two or 3 decent coats. A week natural drying, then baked. There's no doubt that the Trem finish changed during production of the Fly. My late 90's pre-refined models have quite a textured finish and later USM & JAM era models I've seen appear to ha...

Re: Aluminum Bridge

A big piece of the Black finish on the Trem body of my PDF80 literally 'lifted off' one day. It certainly wasn't annodised. Possibly Plastic coated. I removed the Trem & saddles. Primed and sprayed with Black Hammerite Smooth Satin, then baked in the oven for 45 mins at approx. 150 degrees. The ...

Testing, Testing... from the UK!

Hi All, I'm a proud Parker owner from the UK. Nice to be aboard this venture. Sad to see the demise of the Parker Guitars website and the Parker Guitar Forum. I'm a member of a couple of Parker Facebook Groups and some international members have been having issues posting to this forum. Hence, my po...
