Re: 2006 Parker USA Single Cut Mahogany
I personally prefer the traditional fly shape, but MAN, that natural finish is pretty!

Re: Strings - I tried NYXL and was disappointed
I know it’s an older post, but I use curt mangan strings. I had some custom sets made. Personally I like 10, 13, 20, 30, 40, 50 with the G being wound. But you can design whatever setup you choose. He also makes acoustic guitar and bass strings as well. I’ve stuck with those ever since the first ord...

Re: PB basses serial numbers?
Well I got both basses! The one sold as a PB415 appears to be a standard Parker hornet 4 string bass in matte black. Aerosmith Tom Hamilton PB41 bass is a gloss black that is nearly identical from a distance besides the finish..with the exception of one thing..it’s FRETLESS! I don’t know if Parker s...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
I’ve only been back to collecting Parker guitars again in the past year. My old ones were from back before the USM era. I’m starting to notice pre refined flys starting to go down a little. It was nearly impossible to find one a few months ago for under $3000. Now I see several for $2500 give or tak...

Re: PB basses serial numbers?
Great info! I’ve been looking for a hornet bass and just recently snagged two of them that are currently on the way! I always like to figure out the years of my Parker’s. One is a hornet bass used by Tom Hamilton from Aerosmith. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that one is gloss black an...

Re: P44 with quiet piezo
Im currently dealing with this on my p44 pro. I thought the piezo was completely dead until I tried it with the amp turned up pretty loud and realized it’s just super low output. I’ve had a few Parker’s that for some reason had the trim pot turned down. Sometimes they sound like crap if turned up al...

Re: Thoughts on buying Parker from Japan (via eBay)
They are probably proxy sellers. A lot of them will list a guitar that’s for sale locally for example ishibashi music, and list it online for more money. You buy the guitar, then they go buy it for less and ship it to you. It’s a no risk “hustle” they do that I’m not fond of. That’s why a lot of the...

Re: S2 for sale on Reverb
I just showed my wife this listing and was like MANNN if I would have snagged that I’d get one of those ribbon cables VJ has and put the piezo back in it.
Then I went back to this listing and scrolled down and was like ah ok VJ got it! Glad it went to a good home! how’s it sound?

Possibly beware reverb p44 listing
Since I have an obsession with these guitars, I’m aware of nearly EVERY listing on the internet. Haha. The seller has a good rating and after asking him why the pic of his guitar is identical to that of one listed over a year ago in Singapore, I was under the impression that he had a pic as a place ...

Re: PSA (Allegedly) Counterfeit Parker Bass Flipped on Reverb
Ah yeah I was the one who posted that in the Facebook group. I bid on the bass because I wanted the neck..wanted to see if I could find a way to secure it to a p series body and make a fly body styled bass. At the last second, he outbid me. But that’s how I know what the bass sold for, and that the ...

WTB: hornet bass
Looking for a hornet bass since a fly bass just isn’t in the budget at the monent. My wife won’t mind as much if I get a bass that isn’t $3000+ so I’m looking for a cheaper one. Not looking for someone to rip themselves off or give it away. If not a Parker, I’m open to suggestions on a bass that has...

Oh wow he raised it to almost $900 now. Not sure if that’s fair or not. I paid $200 for mine with a gig bag.

Lefty Parker on reverb!
For you leftys! I got mine for way less (I don’t think the guy knew what he had) but I think due to the rarity of it, it may be worth the price to someone.

What type of music does everybody here play?
Also do you have certain techniques for coming up with riffs? I rarely play cover songs…I play a few here and there and I did a little bit when I was younger but I feel like that’s been an advantage to me coming up with original material. Not to say I don’t get inspiration from stuff I hear. I’ve be...

Re: the Anatomy of a Fly
Wow I learned something new today! I’d imagine they’re a direct fitment for anything with a Parker bridge..or at least that’s what it appears like. I might get some just as backups since I’ve been stockpiling spare Parker parts in case something stops working one day. I dread the day when all of the...
