I also have a few great acoustic IRs I can send you for Fractal.
And if you switch to Fractal guarantee you will never regret that.

Re: Bridge Posts Too High/Low

Thanks for this. The arm itself is what’s shorter on the bass side; the part that goes inside the bushing.

Also, check the image on the parts page to ensure you have the entire assembly for the bridge posts, which includes a belleville washer.

Re: tightening the cable plug - how?

Yes, I know that. But the black nut can't be screwed in any more. I'll sand it down this weekend. I don't see any other solution.

You can do that if you want, but it is not necessary. Very obviously the black nut was designed to go in as much or as little as needed in order for the plug to ...

Re: tightening the cable plug - how?

Hi,
I have the same problem with my Fly Classic. My output connector is going bad. When I twist the cable, there's a crackling sound.
The problem is that the cable needs to be tucked in a little deeper.
I've tried tightening the outer black nut, but I can't screw any more. It would take 0.5 mm ...

Re: Please help with advice about playability of a new Fly Deluxe

Thanks guys, to both of you!!!
The G string is ( kind of) fixed-a little pencil graphite in the whole and slightly applying traction with a 4th(0,26) string helped. That turned out to be the least problem. The “hard to play” part still persists, now even the sound is so different than other Fly ...

Re: Fly Mojo - lost piezo sound

Hello there.

I have a 98 with no piezo sound for the last 4 years.

Verified the piezo works by clipping on to the coax bypassing directly to my amp.

Should I start a new thread?

I tried red deox on the switch.

I have 2 ribbon input jack assembly’s.
Both do the the same thing.
Maybe the ...

That is a beautiful guitar! What year is it?
$1200 isn't bad, but let me see how devastating the holidays will be on my finances first, and if I can't find a "for parts" one that would warrant more tinkering. ;)

No sweat.
It's a '97 I think.

Re: Wanted: NiteFly for restoration

I have a nitefly. But tinkering is rather on the small side. It just needs a little cap on the five way switch, and a back plate. If you want to tinker more than that, you'll have to tear it apart yourself!
I also want $1200 for it, so it's not exactly a throwaway guitar. But if you want it, it's ...

Re: Ribbon cable install?

Just to add some clarifications to my earlier post. The flex ribbon is broken. It will take some soldering to remove the old one and put a new one in.
It's not really difficult, but you have to have the right tools, particularly when you're dealing with the small mono/stereo switch. It's made out of ...

I looked as closely as possible given the picture. It sure looks like the ribbon is broken. It will need to be replaced.

Re: Your thoughts on the Fly Mojo

I had one. It's a nice guitar. Quite a bit heavier than the pre-refined. I reverted to a classic, which was more my bag.

Re: Fly partially detached fret(s) issue

So, I am thinking of my options here...

The best case scenario for me is to find a tech to make 24 bloody fret slots, install "normal" frets and forget all about it because I am really getting tired with this recurring issue.

I spoke with my tech about it, the problem he is not familiar with the ...
