Re: High E and B String Jump off Bridge When Dive-bombing

I successfully shifted the tremolo bridge as far as possible towards the treble side but the high E string still pops out of the bridge and makes a sound when the tremolo is released. I guess I will have to live with it...

Thanks for all the help!

Re: High E and B String Jump off Bridge When Dive-bombing

And... in a nutshell... what is the procedure to loosen or remove the springs?

Thanks,

Re: High E and B String Jump off Bridge When Dive-bombing

EDITED: So, to shift the bridge towards the treble side: loosen and remove the strings completely, loosen the spring tension, loosen and remove the saddles, shift the bridge to the treble side, then re-assemble and test?

Re: High E and B String Jump off Bridge When Dive-bombing

Strings used: D'Addario NYXL 9.5-11.5-16-24-34-44. Intonation at the 12th fret is perfect. Photo of high E and B attached. So, to shift the bridge towards the treble side: loosen and remove the strings completely, loosen and remove the saddles, shift the bridge to the treble side, then re-assemble a...

High E and B String Jump off Bridge When Dive-bombing

Hi Fellow Parker Heads, Last year I bought a 2000 Parker MIDIFly. Everything works great except that the high E and B strings 'jump' out of the Parker tremolo bridge when extreme dive bombing. The strings go back in when the tremolo is released but it makes a little 'ping' sound. It seems as though ...

Recently purchased a MIDI Fly serial number 700175 USA. What would be the date of manufacture and any other information? Thank you!

Re: Fly Saddles through the years

@alienfreakout, were the heavier set of strings coming out, as well? Could we get an angle more from in front of the saddles, to see if the e and B strings look like they could easily roll out of the groove between bearings? Most importantly, did you intonate the saddles for the new string gauges? ...

Re: Fly Saddles through the years

9 - 42 Boomers, high E and high B strings are slipping off towards the center of the bridge. The strings pictured are the old strings that are larger gauge than 9 - 42.

Thanks,
AFO

Re: Fly Saddles through the years

Hi Fellow FlyCloners, New to Parker Flys this week; just picked up a 1998 MIDIFly and having some problems with the stainless steel dogbone bridge: when dive bombing with the tremolo the high E and B strings come out of the dogbones and then go back in when released. The alignment of E and B dogbone...
