Re: LOST: 1999 Fly Artist Natural

This 1999 Fly Artist (natural finish) was recently stolen, presumably, by a FedEx employee in Broadview Heights, Ohio. Serial number is 224059BSS Artist1.jpgArtist2.jpgArist3.jpgScreen Shot 2024-03-05 at 8.52.55 AM.png A friend recently bought this Fly Artist from Reverb, and FedEx shipped it to Oh...

Re: Parker P6EB opinions?

I am getting into this lately... LOL, But, besides the cheaper construction of this guitar (plastic binding) it sounds amazing! I would love to play a P8 or P9 more emblazoned.

A dusting if etch primer, Thank you! What does the above mean? Here you go Pat What does an etch primer do? Re: Question about the eq controls on the Fly Bass

Howdy Flybass5 ! My FB-4 was purchased from Eric Mckenna of Boogie Street Guitars in 2003. He purchased it unfinished from the Wilmington factory as things were changing hands. The controls are as follows: 1) Stacked Piezo volume and tone controls 2) Stacked Mag tone controls 3) Mag pickup pan 4) Ma...

Re: New happy owner of Parker Fly Deluxe

Greetings from Cape Town! First time I held a Parker Fly in my hands in 2014, at the Three of a Perfect Pair Music Camp. It was Adrian Belew's own Signature Fly which he kindly let me hold and play a bit. Immediately I knew that I will own a Parker Fly one day. After 9 years of hunting I finally go...

Hello all! I am 55 now. In my 20's I was a prolific player. I ran a small studio, 8 track tape in the 90's, that made money. Now I play more for my own inkling, but I built this. Basically, a decent pre-amp, into a limiter, into a couple of interfaces and amp. I have NO experience with the PUSH II b...

^^^ ^^^ ^^^

"I blew this photo UP & see 092090 USA = Refined Fly Bass made by Washburn In Illinois"

Can anyone confirm that FB-4's were "BUILT" in Illinois? The way I heard it is they were "fire sales" from MA? Any confirmation?

Re: Serial Number Info for Parker Fly, NiteFly, Fly Bass, and Other Parker Guitars

do the Dragonflys carry the same 7 digit code as the rest of the flys? I don’t know that we have this information, but it’s possible—are you thinking that your DFR 522 was made in 2010? I don’t recall: was that model made in Indonesia—if so, did you see this post? Thanks for the info... So, what th...

Re: Serial Number Info for Parker Fly, NiteFly, Fly Bass, and Other Parker Guitars

Question and sorry if I've missed something... But do the Dragonflys carry the same 7 digit code as the rest of the flys? I have a DFR 522 with 1012009 as the serial, any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @valrus! Welcome!! Love the look of this and very exciting to learn about these mods—seems like a killer instrument! I’ll add that I do love my Fly Bass FB-4 😊 It makes me seem like a better bass player than I am 🤣 They’re not so common and they’re on the pricey side, but I’m a big fan! I'll sec...

Talk to these guys... https://www.philadelphialuthiertools.co ... -covers-1/
I"ve bought a bunch of custom covers from them. I name my guitars  and usually get them custom covers. I haven't done my Parkers but I would assume they can help out.

Re: Artist or PRS Hollowbody?

Probably not a lot of help... But I have a PRS Tonare in parlor size, fully acoustic and it's an amazing guitar for its price point. It doesn't compete with my Taylor 712 CE, but again, at its price it definitely has the bang for the buck.

Re: Mislabeled Spring?

Seeing the dimensions were narrower and thinner you must assume it was mislabeled and possibly a nine. But you never know, it's quite possible 16 years later it is just tired. The pros will chime in shortly.

Re: Adrian Belew Elevator Tour

Adrian has unfortunately switched back to the stratocaster though. I was afraid of that. He did an interview, recently, in which he complained that he simply cannot get spare parts for any of his Flys; and needs the strat to take over as much from the “MIDI rig” as he can get it to. Strangely it's ...

She is amazing. I bought it from Eric McKenna at Boogie Street Guitars 2003. He bought it unfinished from the sale before US Music. As I remember someone named The Wookie painted it.
