Finally…I’ll be able to change string gauge (and still be able to use the trem).
Awesome work VJ et al.

Re: Question about Springs
Anecdotally, I've used a 9 spring for 8s, 10 for 9s, 11 for 10s, etc. without issue. The action of the 11 spring feeling "stiffer" than the 10 it temporarily replaced was the only quirk I noticed, and that may well have been my imagination or somehow specific to that guitar. The spring ra...

Re: Strings - I tried NYXL and was disappointed
For the record - one month in with my first set of Stringjoy! About the change them now. They lasted a very long time while retaining their essential tone. Very impressed. Thanks for the heads up. There used to be free shipping to Canada from several US string vendors. If Stringjoy were to do this,...

Re: “What’s This Worth?” Thread
We sell a single Flex PCB set for $225 + shipping and the payout from Reverb to the lab when all is said and done is $201.29. I can see us moving away from Reverb at some point, but at that price point, their commission isn’t so painful—at the price point of an instrument, to me, it definitely hurt...

Re: Bullwinkle Guitar Hanger
Although I currently don’t know where to acquire one, the tendency is that they seem to pop up once in a while. There was even someone making some here about two years ago, but he’s been MIA for a while.
If there’s a way to set alerts on Reverb (which I don’t use), then I suggest doing so.

Nice find. However, it never went beyond “What’s this?”.
You see a Fly just doesn’t djent.

Isn’t the refined arm holder prone to cracking? An extra part = extra problems IMHO.

Re: Strings - I tried NYXL and was disappointed
I was considering a 6-pack of custom gauge for my seven string. They are not so cheap, especially internationally.
Are they as stiff as regular XLs or more bendy like NYXLs or Ernie Balls ?

Re: Pre-refined Fly Classic questions
The original owner had all the oem parts (flex cable, preamp board, and vol/tone stack pot) and sent them to me. I am planning on keeping the newer Powerchip in the guitar right now, as everything functions nicely and works fine. The piezo elements also work nicely with the Powerchip. However, some...

Re: A summary of the Fly changes/issues through the years, and a brief history of Parker Guitars
Question for VJ/Fly Stealth owners.
A listing I found said this model could use heavier gauge string. How heavy are we talking about (max - i.e. a 0.056” or more?).

Re: Increasing neck thickness in refinishing?
That is quite the endeavour you have there Marc!
I’d be more concerned about the transition with the heel, but I’m sure you’ll figure something out (if it can be done).
In the meantime, here’s another way to add layers:

Re: How To Fix a Stuck Vibrato Arm Set Screw
Hi! I have an issue related to this topic. I’m trying to adjust the tension of the hex trem arm on my pre-refined Fly. I’d like the arm to fall away when I let it go. However, even when I loosen the set screw significantly, the rotation is still quite stiff. I’d appreciate any advice. Thanks! The s...

Why don’t you bring a fret rocker while you’re at it? I think the only reasonable path forward is for all of us to show up as a unified entourage standing behind @reverend-kansas. 💪😎 I can't buy you all plane tickets, but I will go to Tim Horton's and buy some Timbits and coffee for every...

..and beware of numerous paint chips along the fingerboard…and of high action…if the thing’s been converted to a pseudo slide guitar= red flags.
Why don’t you bring a fret rocker while you’re at it?
Good luck.

Re: Parker Fly Deluxe vs Mojo
The price is what has me wanting to try it out. It is a 90 minute drive to the guy's house, so I'm thinking hard before I go. Make sure you thoroughly inspect the fretboard for any signs of delamination. The year most avoid is 2008 (as it was plagued with various issues, most of which being a bad b...

@fstrat76, this post and the videos linked within it may help with your pickup height adjustment. So far as I can tell, the reproduction Fly PCBs are still available on the Reverb store . I haven’t seen the PCB on sale since January. It seems the initial batch quickly sold out. Unless the listing i...

Re: Pre-refined Fly Classic questions
I've read posts about adjusting the pickup heights and also read the manual. Seems like its straightforward, but loosening those two pole screws does nothing. The screws are almost all the way out and the pickups will not move up or down. Any ideas on this? The trick is to grasp the pickups on thei...
