Re: Stock '98 Fly Classic Sounds thicker/fatter then my Stock '95 Fly Classic?
My stock fly classics sound different from one another. Ken Parker has told me and some of my students many times the story of him attempting to create two identical Fly Deluxes from the same batch of wood and to the same specs/tolerances—he made these two guitars himself at the factory as purposel...

Re: I bought a Parker guitar with no parts for 150usd!
Happy to help! The Fly and NiteFly bridge are very similar, but the NiteFly bridge has a base that extends a little lower than a Fly bridge and has three holes in it to accommodate the springs—I’ll see if I have a spare to take a photo. I’d recommend that you contact Mike Gallenberger at Gman.music ...

Re: Official Manuals, Catalogs, Price Lists, and Advertisements
Hi ChrisB , the List price is, in most cases, what they sold for new to customers. There was a time when stores were able to get Flys at a lower than list price, but what the customer paid was always list unless you happened to be in Wilmington and Ken made you a deal. When I bought my first Fly new...

Hi Tim and welcome!timshephard wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2024 6:06 pm I am a life long 'rhythm' player, never used a tremolo arm ever, so a 'blocked' solution will be fine for me.
I have a set of blocks like these in a few Flys—description and info here.
They work great just as @feniks described.

Spring fell out? That doesn't seem right...
Hi dougc84 —do you generally tune the instrument in fully-floating mode? Meaning, is the step-step ever down? There’s nothing “wrong” with that, but if so, it might explain some of what’s happening. It’s a balancing act, as you know, getting the vibrato bridge to float properly; specifically, it’s a...

Re: How the Fly Vibrato Bridge Works: Yet Another Guide to Setting up your Floating Bridge
Hi @lucas.kratochwil—can you back the threaded rod into the recess? Also to confirm, you have a set of 10 gauge strings on there, correct?
The spring could very well be defective.

Re: Stolen Parker Fly from a while back
Hi @jpp—sorry to hear that. I’ll keep an eye out. The back is still Italian Plum, correct? We have a few Fly Clone members who live in that area—it’s possible it hasn’t changed hands.

Re: SD pickup thread screw info
I’m now reasonably convinced they’re a 5-40 UNC thread. billy and I went looking for 5-40 when we were compiling an early version of the Parts list, but ultimately concluded that you’d have to go with a different size and then modify it. 😕 Then I found this one, which is linked from that page.

Re: Piezo users…
Have you tried any of these acoustic piezo improving contraptions? I gig out with a Fishman Aura Sixteen and my Fly Concert—here’s a demo: https://youtu.be/MzsC6Yjn6HI?feature=shared In my studio, I like to track the piezo with my Flys on a separate channel and dial it in with a clean sound to add ...

We're happy to share this video of our latest 10 spring prototype in action: https://youtu.be/raL1ryr5Rm0 As you can see in the video, the spring floats and operates perfectly! Moments before this video was taken, we put a fresh set of 10s on this Fly Classic, and balanced the spring in the usual wa...

Re: Does the Nitefly have the same truss rod design as the Fly?
Does anyone know if the Nitefly truss rod is the same which was used on the Korean P38? Did they use the same threaded adjuster at base of heel? Hi Chris—I’m not certain and I don’t own a P38, but, based on this image from a P38 eBay listing , it appears that way: IMG_2614.jpeg Hopefully someone wh...
