Spring fell out? That doesn't seem right...
Hi dougc84 —do you generally tune the instrument in fully-floating mode? Meaning, is the step-step ever down? There’s nothing “wrong” with that, but if so, it might explain some of what’s happening. It’s a balancing act, as you know, getting the vibrato bridge to float properly; specifically, it’s a...

Re: How the Fly Vibrato Bridge Works: Yet Another Guide to Setting up your Floating Bridge
Hi @lucas.kratochwil—can you back the threaded rod into the recess? Also to confirm, you have a set of 10 gauge strings on there, correct?
The spring could very well be defective.

Re: Stolen Parker Fly from a while back
Hi @jpp—sorry to hear that. I’ll keep an eye out. The back is still Italian Plum, correct? We have a few Fly Clone members who live in that area—it’s possible it hasn’t changed hands.

Re: SD pickup thread screw info
I’m now reasonably convinced they’re a 5-40 UNC thread. billy and I went looking for 5-40 when we were compiling an early version of the Parts list, but ultimately concluded that you’d have to go with a different size and then modify it. 😕 Then I found this one, which is linked from that page.

Re: Piezo users…
Have you tried any of these acoustic piezo improving contraptions? I gig out with a Fishman Aura Sixteen and my Fly Concert—here’s a demo: https://youtu.be/MzsC6Yjn6HI?feature=shared In my studio, I like to track the piezo with my Flys on a separate channel and dial it in with a clean sound to add ...

Re: Springs
We're happy to share this video of our latest 10 spring prototype in action: https://youtu.be/raL1ryr5Rm0 As you can see in the video, the spring floats and operates perfectly! Moments before this video was taken, we put a fresh set of 10s on this Fly Classic, and balanced the spring in the usual wa...

Re: Does the Nitefly have the same truss rod design as the Fly?
Does anyone know if the Nitefly truss rod is the same which was used on the Korean P38? Did they use the same threaded adjuster at base of heel? Hi Chris—I’m not certain and I don’t own a P38, but, based on this image from a P38 eBay listing , it appears that way: IMG_2614.jpeg Hopefully someone wh...

Lost & Stolen Section
We now have a new section in the Community area called " Lost & Stolen "—I'm sure we all hope that it only rarely receives new posts. Since many of us enjoy looking at Parkers for sale on Craigslist, eBay, Reverb, FB Marketplace, etc., why not keep an eye out for a few specific instrum...

Re: Springs
Thanks, Rimcrust that would be very helpful and kind. 🙏 We've done chemical and microscopic analyses on many broken springs from a wide range of years including a failed spring from the batch that Billy is selling now as 2022 springs. We do have a good understanding, now, of how and where these spri...

Re: Fly Output Jack Tightening Tool
Hi Greg—there are a few smaller projects like this wrench, vibrato arms, arm bushings, etc. that are in development and still something we intend to produce, but have taken a backseat to some of the larger FC projects.

Re: Vibrato Arm Bushing (refined)
I've had good experiences with Xometry —it's expensive though, and the parts don't always come back as what you might expect. Please let us know if you decide to go for this though! I'd tried to explore direct-purchase options for us with Shapeways a few years back, but it was way too expensive. If ...
