Re: My First Parker

+1 what mmmguitar said. You may find it helpful to read this post on wood types for the various Fly models. The Artist, to my ears, sounds the least like all the others in an acoustic and diffuse sort of way; they all have their own “special something” ☺️ Regardless of the wood combination, the Fly ...

Re: DF524 or Fly Classic Hardtail ?

Congrats, Zinc Bath ! It always makes me smile to hear someone speak enthusiastically about their first impressions of a Fly! Especially a hardtail Fly! Compared to other guitars, Flys have a considerable amount of sustain even with 9s, but, as long as you’re not bothered by 10s, I would definitely ...

Re: Bad peizo or short on B string

Hey schrectacular and welcome! It sounds like the Piezo element (underneath the saddle) is just not seated properly in there. You could hit it with compressed air and see if that fixes it, but it sounds like that’s where the problem lives. sometimes the particular brand/material of the string or eve...

Re: DF524 or Fly Classic Hardtail ?

I would bet, however, that I'm in the minority. Welll...maybe  I mean, we didn't call it DFClone  Zinc Bath , jester700 is correct: the Fly is the complete vision that we're all into in some way or another, though, obviously, that particular design is not everyone's flame. For me, I'm abo...

Hi @moonrayal; I’ve forwarded this thread to @Ken Parker and his team. I believe there are a few customers of Ken’s near you, so if you’re seriously considering buying one, I think that can be arranged.

Re: Mojo fly SC

Hi @Cadiz; the Fly Mojo Singlecuts are fairly common. I suspect they usually go for around $1300 - $1500; give it a few weeks and one will very likely pop up.

Gotcha! I’m quite partial to the Sustainiac Driver if you’re okay with a different kind of neck pickup sound; they’re very useful!!!

Re: dimarzio upgrade pups

hey dalo , sounds like a fun pursuit! I don't have specific insights to offer on those particular pickups, but, if it were me, I'd use the DiMarzio recommendations as a starting point. Having said that, did you see this post on the original NiteFly pickups? It might be worth looking up those specifi...

Yeah, @writewheel! Glad to hear you’re back! I’m singing that backing vocal part to "Rock and Roll Hoochie Coo" in my head as I type this 😉🤣😝

That’s a great NiteFly M! Play it in good health!!!!

Re: Fly Saddles through the years

Hey writewheel ; glad this worked out. I believe they are just a “press-fit”, but I suppose they could be glued in or affixed in some way if needed; they certainly don’t move freely on mine and I just assumed they were a press-fit. Perhaps others have had experience adhering them once they’ve fallen...
