Re: Springs

Hey all!!! Let me start off by saying I commend and admire the individuals that are re-engineering the trem springs, and I dont want to take anything away from that. I would just like to add, that I have had a place recreate the springs for me physically. They are an exact match, again, physically. ...

Re: Fly Fret Repair Procedures (Parker Guitars video and document)

crap.... I already used it. It did seem to work well, but it did seem to have a lot more come out from under the fret than I thought it would. I cleaned it up with a qtip right away but it still left some residue on the fretboard which is irritating but not the end of the world as all of my Parkers ...

Re: Fly Fret Repair Procedures (Parker Guitars video and document)

I think I am going to try the Gorilla glue. The guy from Crimson guitars says he uses that and does full re frets on them and he seems to knows his stuff... and hes bald like me so I will give him extra points for that

Re: A summary of the Fly changes, issues, and forum opinions through the years and a brief history of Parker Guitars

is that fret repair method really that much better than just using superglue? I have seen more than 3 places on youtube that seem very competent guitar building and repair businesses, and all of them recommend superglue. I had my 11th fret go on walkabout over the weekend so I grabbed three types of...

Re: the Anatomy of a Fly

What about the actual trem spring itself? That was the only part I didnt see listed for the trem system. And just so happens that I would like to get a couple in each different size if anyone has a source.

parker trussrod fix?

Does anyone on here know of anyone that can fix a parker truss rod? I bought one last year (a refined blue Deluxe) and never thought to look in the truss rod hole...... until a few months later when I started getting a bit of a buzz on the first fret high E and could not figure out why none of my al...

If you buy direct from fishman, you might see if they would custom-build one for your fly. Even if its $500, Id say its worth it.
I do have a friend that knows Larry Fishman in a professional sense. Maybe I could ask if that is something they would consider.

Re: Fishman Fluence to pre-refined fly classic

So its the physical limitations that make it difficult in a classic or deluxe, but the wiring(adding power and not screwing up the piezo or the blending capability) is doable. I can add threaded inserts into the body. I just didnt know if there was enough room to route out the body especially in the...

Fishman Fluence to pre-refined fly classic

I searched but could not find any mention of anyone putting a set of fishman fluence pickups into a fly.... Is this because they are slightly thicker than the originals? They are .89" from the bottom of the mounting flange, to the top. Or because there is some issue wiring them up into the park...
