Re: How Much Pull Up in Full Floating?

I’m in standard tuning, with a 9 gauge spring and Elixir 9 strings.
I just went through the guide about setting up the bridge and I get a half step (1 fret) on the 3rd and 2nd strings and less than a half step on the 1st.
I can’t quite tell where it’s getting blocked when I pull up

Re: Springs

I'm very excited about this news. Thank you for all you're doing!
I have a 2001 Fly Classic and I'm sure sooner than later my spring will go.

Any chance there is an ETA yet?

Re: How Much Pull Up in Full Floating?

Thank you for all the wisdom!
I'm going to try going through the setup guide and see if it gets any better.
I appreciate it!

How Much Pull Up in Full Floating?

So I set the trem of my 2001 Classic to be full floating.
I didn’t check everything but I did notice I only have a half step bend up on the 2nd string.
Is that normal?
If not, is there adjustments I could make?
Thanks in advance!

Re: 2001 Classic (Pawnshop Special)

So I picked this up online from a pawnshop. It has some bad fading in the wood you can’t see from the pics. There’s also a nice gouge on the bottom Also - the electronics didn’t work properly. Sooo I installed GraphTech saddles and an Acoustiphonic preamp. Also (couldn’t get black/creme for the nec...

Re: Where to Route Pre Refined Classic for Leads from Ghost Saddles

I appreciate your thoughts. It’s funny, cause I’ve seen your opinion and I’ve seen the opposite. On this site I believe there’s an internal memo from Parker (perhaps after Ken left) stating the Graph Tech saddles are superior. Regardless, this was a pawn shop guitar in semi-rough shape and I noticed...

Where to Route Pre Refined Classic for Leads from Ghost Saddles

Hello again So I’m replacing the Pre Refined Classic saddles with Graph Tech Ghost saddles. I am struggling finding a spot I could drill a 5/16” hole as suggested for the leads. Do you think it would be ok to leave them draped over the top with the control plate put over them? Is there a place I cou...

Graph Tech Ghost Install Questions

Hello again I did look through all the helpful wiring diagrams, posts, etc here and that helped answer some questions. I decided to keep my pawn shop special 2001 Classic and install a graph tech ghost (with the graph tech Parker saddles) what I understand (if I read correctly) if I want to keep the...

Re: Pre Refined Parker Piezo Audible But Quiet

Hey I don’t have the Parker stereo y cable. I have a standard stereo cable that goes into a splitter that accepts the TRS input and sends the ring and tip out. The ring (piezo) goes to a Body Rez then a DI and the tip (magnetic) goes to my a/b box. I know it’s none of that chain because I just fired...

Pre Refined Parker Piezo Audible But Quiet

So I took a gamble on an eBay pawn shop pre-refined Fly Classic (‘01) in rough shape. This neck feels great to me, just like my old Classic (I measured it around 18mm) - but of course, apart from the discoloration and chip - it doesn’t work properly. I’ve already gotten an approved free return but j...

Pre Refined Fly Whammy Bar

So I have an incoming pre-refined fly with no whammy (trem) bar included. I love using the bar so I’ll definitely want one. eBay and Reverb only have a bar for a refined Fly. Would it be safe to use a hex key that’s the same size? I know it will be more rigid. Not sure if it would damage anything......

Free Way Switch/new Pups in ‘98 Fly Deluxe?

I apologize if this has been covered before. I haven’t had much success in my searches. I have a ‘98 Fly Deluxe and I’d like to change the pickups. I’m not afraid of modifying the pickups to fit and using double sided tape to keep them in place (things I’ve read are necessary). I would like to keep ...

Re: Parker Fly Neck Thickness

Ok
Thanks for all the info!
I’m looking for a super thin neck like the 2002 Classic I used to have.
Is it possible then, any year Deluxe could have a super thin neck as well?
Finally, has anyone played a post 2011 with a 14” radius and if so, how does it feel compared to the 10-13 thin necks?

Parker Fly Neck Thickness

Back in 2002 I purchased a Parker Fly Classic. Don't ask why I don't have it anymore... Anyways, last year I bought a Nitefly M and I love it, but the neck isn't close to the same thin shape I remember the Classic having. So a month ago I bought a Deluxe assuming it would have the same neck. It's th...
